Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - Sporting a Superman t-shirt, 5'10" Matt Watkins from South Laurel High in Kentucky dominated the Stop-DWI Slam Dunk contest Sunday afternoon at Binghamton High School.
Watkins was by far the shortest competitor, but had no problems bringing the capacity crowd to its feet with his dunks.
He says his favorite was a one-handed, windmill that helped seal his championship.
Jay Copeland from King's Fork High in Virginia took 2nd, Demonte Flannigan from Villa Angela St. Joseph in Cleveland was 3rd.
The South Laurel team of Matt Gilbert and Eric Wright made it a clean sweep for the Bluegrass Boys by outlasting Christ the King to win the three-point shootout.
