Tioga Center, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - Over at Tioga Central, all-state field hockey standout Kari Walkley made her decision official.

She'll head south to Wake Forest.

Walkley holds every scoring record at Tioga.

Kari chose Wake Forest over a long list of schools including Syracuse, UConn, Michigan State and Central Michigan.

"I wanted to go down south and I really wanted to play at a really competitive level so I figured Wake would be a good fit for me and it's a really small campus and I really love the coaches there," Kari says.

Kari is a former WBNG Academic All Star and says her decision was helped by being friends with current Wake Forest player Emily Cummings, a Maine-Endwell graduate.
