M-E Girls Win Second Straight Section Title

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - Kristin Chelak scored 18, Megan Touhey had 16 and Carrie Bushnell chipped in 14 as Maine-Endwell ran away from Corning West 79-48 to win its second straight section title.

The Vikings led by 10 early behind hit three-point shooting.

But the Spartans scored 65 points in the second and third quarter combined to blow the game open.

M-E advances to the state quarterfinals where it will play the winner of the Section 1/Section 9 game March 13 at 2:45 at SUNY Cortland.
