Schappert's OT Penalty Shot Goal Keeps U-E Alive

Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - Matt Schappert scored on a penalty shot in sudden-death overtime to send Union-Endicott to a 7-6 win over Chenango Valley in the championship round of the Broome County High School hockey playoffs.

The win forces a one-game, winner-take-all final between the two teams Thursday night.

Schappert finished the day with four goals and two assists.

Chenango Valley got three goals apiece from Addison Lewis and Jordan Ashman.

Schappert got had another penalty shot with one minute left in regulation, but CV goalie Marcus D'Angelo made the save.
