Tioga Girls One Win Away From History

Troy, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - The Tioga Central Girls advanced to their first ever state championship game, taking down previously undefeated Maple Hill 52-42 in the semifinals on Saturday.

Kara McDuffee and Kacie Hoyt led the Tigers with 15 points each.

The Tigers led by as many as 10 points in the second half before Maple Hill stormed back to tie the game with five minutes to go.

Tioga rallied again led by McDuffee and Hoyt, who hit several free throws to ice the win.

The Tigers play Marion Central in Sunday's Class C state title game.
