Heartbreak for Tioga Girls

Troy, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - The Tioga girls erased a 13-point second-half deficit but lost on a buzzer-beating prayer of a shot in the Class C State Championship game Sunday afternoon at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy.

The Tigers fell 56-54 to Section 5 champion Marion.

It was Tioga's first ever appearance in State Championship game.

Kara McDuffee led the way with 20 points.

The Tigers finish their magical season 22-2.
