A former Orange weighs in on Boeheim's future
Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Despite Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim vehemently denying that he'll retire at the end of the season, there are still questions surrounding the long-time Orange coach. Boeheim is currently at his fourth Final Four with Syracuse, and is in his 37th season leading the Orange. One former player, and now Binghamton University assistant coach Lazarus Sims, believes a National Championship may make him reconsider. "I don't think he's done," said Sims. "The only thing I think of is, if he wins it might be something in his mind, let me go out on top. Because you know in college, you never know when you might get there, so why not leave on top? But again, like I said, he's a basketball junkie, so it's hard to leave this game." Sims is heading to Atlanta this weekend to be with some of his former teammates from his trip to the Final Four in 1996.
