(WBNG Binghamton) Two local baseball players are chosen in the Major League Baseball draft.

Maine-Endwell senior Carter Austin was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 28th round.

Austin has a decision to make as he has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Bucknell.

Chenango Valley alumni Justin Topa, a right handed pitcher, was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the 509th overall pick.

Topa has spent the past 3 seasons playing for LIU Brooklyn.

He was drafted by the Reds last year, but decided to go back to school.
