(WBNG Binghamton) In less than one week, five Binghamton Mets players will be playing in the Minor League Baseball Eastern League all star game. Pitcher Logan Verett made the list.

Logan Verett is one of the five B-Mets picked for the all star roster.

Verett is one of the 12 players picked by fans and he's the league's only 8-win hurler.

The 23-year-old from Texas has an 8 - 4 record and an ERA of 4.06.

"I've been pretty consistent all season. I've been attacking the strike zone and getting guys out early in counts which has allowed me to keep my pitch count down and go deeper into game," Verett said.

The Binghamton Mets are also sending 1st baseman Allen Dykstra, 3rd baseman Jose Rodriguez, outfielder Cesar Puello and pitcher Jeff Walters to the Midsummer Classic all star game on July 10 in New Britian, Connecticut.
