New Britain, CT (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton Mets sent five players to the Eastern League All-Star Game, but it was a rough outing for the East Division, losing 5-0 Wednesday.

B-Mets position players, Josh Rodriguez, Allan Dykstra and Cesar Puello went a combined 0-7 with three strikeouts in the losing effort.

Starting pitcher Logan Verrett didn't fare much better, giving up two runs in his one inning of work.

The bright spot was closer Jeff Walters. Walters threw a perfect top-half of the ninth inning, including a strikeout.

Binghamton returns home Thursday to begin a series with Portland.
