(WBNG BINGHAMTON) Despite losing seven of their last nine games, it should be a holly, jolly Christmas for the Binghamton Senators.

The key about those two wins is that they came this past weekend, ending a seven-game losing streak and getting the B-Sens back on track.

Binghamton heads into the holiday just two points behind Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the east division.

Head coach Luke Richardson while it's not quite the season's halfway point, it feels like it -- and having some momentum should do the team a world of good, he said.

"It's really good on the mind if you have some positives to sit on rather than some negatives," he said. "Not that we were playing all that bad up until those last two games in that streak, it's still in the negative side of hockey when you're in the business of winning and losing.

This really gives the guys a bunch of confidence, we got everybody in the lineup the last few nights, so everybody's going to be on the upside, feeling good."

Next up for the B-Sens: a Dec. 26 home game against Hershey.
