Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton)
The B-Sens had one more day of practice Thursday before hitting the ice for another stretch of three games in three days this weekend. However, it's something the B-Sens have become pretty accustom to over the past month or so.
This weekend is the fifth time in the last six weeks that Binghamton has had a three-in-three stretch. While it makes for some tired weekends, it also allows for plenty of mid-week practice time, which is something the team took advantage of this week. The B-Sens spent a few days with some off-the-ice work, to help rest the team.
In the end though, coach Luke Richardson believes you just have to adapt to what you're given.
"You know what you can't control the schedule, so I think what we do is we just try to manage the schedule, take advantage of the many days in between the games like we did this week," said Richardson. "Knowing next week we have a mid-week game, we'll adjust the schedule accordingly and try to keep the guys as fresh as possible for the games."
After Syracuse's win Wednesday, the B-Sens now trail the Crunch for first place in the division by four points. Those are points the team will look to make up starting Friday night against Albany.
