Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton high school's Mario Cherry said he had been working since missing last year's Mirabito STOP-DWI Holiday Classic dunk contest finals. This year, that hard work paid off with a title.

Cherry took home the 2013 crown, beating St. Michaels junior Parker Joyce and Christ the King sophomore Rawle Alkins in the finals.

In the three-point contest, the New York Mills duo of Andrew Surprenant and Nick Comenale took home the title.

Tournament play begins Saturday morning as Binghamton faces Maine-Endwell at 11:15 at the Arena.
