Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Picked seventh in the America East preseason poll, the BU men's soccer team has some things to prove this season. But they'll get some help by getting back Maine-Endwell grad Tommy Moon.

Moon played in five games last year before suffering a season-ending leg injury. The team and coaches believe he can be a difference-maker in creating more goal scoring opportunities this year.

"Having Moony back is terrific for us, I'd say it's huge, but he's a little guy," said coach Paul Marco. "He's terrific, his fitness is outstanding. I truly can't believe how fit he is right now at this stage of the season. I think right now he's got to get his cleverness back a little bit. His mind is there, but his feet aren't as clean as he wants it to be. "

"It definitely helps to have Tommy Moon back. He's a huge piece to that puzzle," said senior Steve Celeste. "It's going to have to come from several guys. Hopefully myself will up the ante a little bit, but it's going to take a couple more guys to bring it to the table."

The Bearcats open up the season at Bucknell, next Friday August 29th.
