Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) By taking two of three this weekend, the Binghamton University baseball team enters the America East Tournament as the number two seed, its highest since 2010. However, the Bearcats know the only thing that really matters is who wins the conference championship.

BU has made the conference tournament the last seven years, but in that time the regular season champion has won the conference title only twice. From all that experience of being in the double elimination tournament, the team knows what the most important factor is to being successful.

"I think the mindset is to win game 1," said BU pitcher Jake Lambert. "Focus on game 1 and you're set to go for all of the other games that come after that. It's real important to win that game 1.

The Bearcats will play Albany in their first round game on Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. BU is coming off a series where they took two of three from the Great Danes.
