Brown named to U.S. Olympic team

(WBNG Binghamton)  Ithaca high school graduate Dustin Brown was named to the U.S. Olympic men's hockey team on Wednesday.

Brown, who is currently the captain of the Los Angeles Kings, also played for Team U.S.A. during the 2010 Olympics.  That team won the silver medal.

This season Brown has seven goals and six assists for the Kings.

Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard, who was born in Syracuse, was also named to the 2014 Olympic team.

In all, five hockey players from New York State will represent the United States.
