Town of Chenango (WBNG Binghamton) Possibly the coolest place in the Southern Tier this week is the Chenango Ice Rink, and that is where Johnson City native and Toronto Marlies player Jerry D'Amigo is hanging out.

Jerry is helping coach the Southern Tier Goalie School with parts of the B-Sens staff. For him, this is the part of the year for him to get back in shape as training camp is just around the corner.

This year, it means D'Amigo is pushing to make the NHL roster, something he believes is a possibility.

"It's interesting, there's a lot of open spots up there left," said D'Amigo. "So hopefully if I have a good training camp and do my best to kind of give myself a spot, I'll be fine, I'll be happy with what I get."

In 70 games with the Toronto Marlies last season, D'Amigo scored 17 goals and tallied 12 assists.
