The BU Men's Basketball Team enters this week on a season-worst 11 game losing streak, but had the chance to take their minds off that streak Monday morning. The Bearcats volunteered with the Magic Paintbrush Project to do some painting with some special needs children at the Oakdale Mall.
At the event though, Coach Tommy Dempsey addressed the team's struggles on the court and the difficulties the team has had during their recent slide.
"We have to get back on the court this week and play better than we have the last couple of games, and not give into the season," said Dempsey on Monday. "I think it's one of those where you start losing. You come in with high hopes, and then all of a sudden you're caught up in a long losing streak and guys get discouraged. We have to fight through, we'd love to be able to win a couple of games sooner rather than later."
Things don't get any easier for the Bearcats who take on perennial conference power Vermont this Wednesday on the road.
