The weekend of tournaments extends to the basketball court.
The STNY Flyers 13 and under team qualified for nationals with their performance at a super-regional.
It's the first time in 5 years a local team has gone this far.
And besides getting to play against some of the top talent in the country, there is more waiting for the team in Cincinnati, Ohio.
They're looking forward to opening ceremonies and a chance to meet girls from all across the country.
Over 100 teams will be playing in the tournament.
Opening ceremonies are on Friday and then the first games on Saturday.
