Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Hundreds of people battled the rain drops and a tough golf course in support of a good cause. Traditions at the Glen hosted the 8th annual Maggie Memorial golf tournament.

Former NFL player Isaiah Kacyvenski and his family hosted the event which is in honor of his mother Margaret Kulakowski, who lived at the Children's Home for 12 years.

The tournament brings together members of the community to play alongside local and national celebrities.

Besides Kaz, this year's field included hockey player and Johnson City native Jerry D'Amigo, current NFL free agent Lofa Tatupu, former pitcher Joel Bennett, former Yankee Steve Kraly, former lineman Max Lane among others.

"It's always something special, near and dear to me as a labor of love coming out here with the Children's Home. Having the honor of doing this, and honor my mother, honor her name and it's always been something for me, gives me pause, put a pause in my life and realize to give back to the community and realize what's important in life," Kacyvenski says.

All proceeds from the event go to the Children's Home.
