Haddock, Uceta Sign With Cornell
Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Luis Uceta and Jake Haddock both inked their letters of intent to play at Cornell Thursday at the Maine-Endwell HS Library. This past season, Haddock was named the New York State Co-Player of the Year in Class B this past season, and Uceta was picked for the All-State Second team. The two now head up Route 79 together, something they couldn't be happier about. "It means a lot," said Haddock. "He's been a teammate of mine for as long as I can remember and just to be able to play with him and keep playing with him when usually you break apart from all your other teammates is a pretty cool thing." "It's great, I wouldn't choose anyone else other than Jake to sign with," said Uceta. "He's one of my best friends and to go to school together, possibly room together, it makes things a lot more comfortable going to college." Uceta and Haddock now join a few Union-Endicott guys as new coach David Archer is a former Tiger, as well as new quarterback coach Shane Hurd.
