Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It'll be a busy time to be an American Legion baseball fan over the next couple of weeks.

This weekend, Binghamton is hosting the 4th annual Broome County Hall of Fame Legion tournament.

The tournament started after the World Youth Classic legion tournament ended a few years ago.

Organizer Gil Wood says he hopes to build this tournament into the event the World Youth Classic used to be.

"As of now, we are getting some of the big ones back, like Shrub Oak, Newberg, Adrean and I hope next year, Puerto Rico does come back because he did call me this year and I hope Brooklyn comes back, but it's not going to be as big as the World Youth as I had it before, I'm going to keep it between 8 and 10 teams," Wood says.

Games started Wednesday at Conlon Field in Binghamton and will continue there through the weekend.

Admission is 4 dollars.
