Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Denis Hamel played six seasons for the Binghamton Senators and on Saturday he'll be forever linked to the city as he's inducted to the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame.
Hamel still holds the B-Sens single-season scoring record as well as the career goals and points record for the organization.
He says Binghamton will always be one of his favorite places to play.
"In my heart it's number one," Hamel said on Friday. "I've played in almost every rink. I know Binghamton, they don't have the biggest rink but when it's packed and the place goes nuts it's really loud. I don't think no where in the AHL is louder than here and they have to be proud of that."
Hamel will be inducted into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame Saturday night before the B-Sens face Rochester.
