Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

The BU women's basketball team fell to 0-5 on the season with a loss to Canisius last night.
But for the first time all season, that wasn't completely bad news for the Bearcat fans.

That's because the opponent brought along some local talent.
Binghamton high school grads Jen Morabito and Tianna Mills play in the backcourt for the Golden Griffs.
They had their own cheering section in the Events Center in a nice return to their hometown.

Morabito says, " Our high school coach was there with the girls watching this college level performance. They have that to look forward to if they keep working, so it was great to have them there."

Mills adds, " It was good. You know even though I did good in my high school career coming here to get a win. In my high school days I was more of a scorer, now I am looking to make plays and I think I did that today."

Binghamton heads to the Arizona State Tournament this coming weekend. The Bearcats will face the host Sun Devils at 3 p.m. EST on Saturday in the first round
