Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

For the second time in three seasons the Harpursville girl's basketball team is Section IV Champions, but it'll be difficult to replicate the success of two season's ago. That Hornets team got all the way to the state finals before losing.

This year's squad faces Cooperstown in the New York State Class C Quarterfinals Saturday at SUNY Oneonta, and the Hornets know that will be a tough test.

"We need to play physical, we need to have great defensive rebounding," said coach Kurt Erensbeck. "I got a chance to take a look at Cooperstown, they're big, they're very strong and very physical. We might be a little undersized, but we're going to have to continue to play big."

The game between Harpursville and Cooperstown Saturday is scheduled for 1:00.
