Oneonta, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

It's on to the New York State Final Four for the Harpursville girl's basketball team after a thrilling win over Cooperstown, but now it's on to an even tougher opponent.

If the Lady Hornets want to get back to the New York State Championship for the second time in three years, they'll have to get past top-ranked Alexander Hamilton in the semifinals. In all, Alexander Hamilton has given up just 39 points in two state playoff games so far. The team though says the experience from two years ago will help them.

"I think having the experience of being there is going to be a huge help because we know what to do, we know how to play there," said Savannah Murray, a Hornets senior. "We've played there, so we just have to do our thing and play our game."

"We just have to take care of the ball a little better," said coach Kurt Ehrensbeck. "I thought we did a good job of getting to the rim and hitting some shots. But we've got to take care of the ball a little better and maybe be a little more selective with our shots."

Harpursville plays Saturday at 12:30 at Hudson Valley Community College.
