Baltimore, MD (WBNG Binghamton)
It's official.
After a long training camp and pre-season, Endicott native Arthur Jones is officially a member of the Baltimore Ravens.
Jones, the standout at Union-Endicott and Syracuse University found out yesterday that he will be part of the Ravens 53 man roster.
He says he wasn't sure what to expect but said he gave it his all in training camp.
Jones adds he tried not to think about making the roster, but more on the task at hand each day.
And he says while getting drafted was great, there's no better feeling in the world than making the roster.
Now, his goal is to show the team they made the right decision.
And learn from some of the stars on that defense.
"I feel like my game is just scratching the level of it, I feel like I'm still raw and just watching all these great leaders, those guys have been in the league, tons of experience, 5, 10 some 12 years, they help me out every single day," he says.
Jones isn't sure how much playing time he'll receive but that doesn't matter to him.
He's just proud to be a member of the Ravens and excited to get to work and help the team any way he can.
The Ravens open the NFL season on Monday Nigh football against the New York Jets.
