(WBNG Binghamton) Jon 'Bones' Jones will head back to Toronto this September for his sixth UFC Light Heavyweight Title defense, Jones and UFC President Dana White confirmed Thursday.

The Endicott native is set to face Alexander Gustafsson Sept. 21 in Toronto as part of UFC 165.

It'll be the sixth title defense for Jones, which would break Tito Ortiz's record for consecutive title defenses in the UFC light heavyweight division. It also marks his third trip north of the border to fight in Canada.

Jones is still recovering from tearing ligaments in his toe during his fight against Chael Sonnen in Newark, NJ earlier this spring.

He told MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani that he plans on slowly working back into shape by doing some wrestling at Cornell University and possibly at Ithaca College as well.
