Tonawanda, NY (WBNG Binghamton) New York's one and only NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race is still a couple of weeks away, but one driver made an early visit to the Empire State. Kasey Kahne was at the GM Tonawanda Engine Plant on Wednesday.
He met with guests and GM joint leadership to get up close and personal with the new GEN 5 product line.
However, it seems Kahne's mind was also thinking ahead to the Cheez-it 355, and he said the track at Watkins Glen is already on his mind.
"You know just trying to look at those spots and trying to get through the barriers a little better," said Kahne. "Whether it's myself working on the car so it makes it easier for me to get through that spot. So it's just all progress and we've already started looking at the Glen and it's still three, four weeks out. So yeah, I'm looking forward to it. "
WGI's NASCAR weekend kicks off on Thursday August 7th, with the Cheez-it 355 taking place on August 10th at the Glen.
