Hockey season starts in a little more than a month.

And Wednesday, Binghamton's new head coach stopped by the arena, to check out his new home.

Coach Kurt Kleinendorst met some members of the Binghamton Senators front office.

Then he took a tour of the facilities, including the locker room and his new office.

He says it was a little weird for him to be walking through the home locker room.

Kleinendorst has been at the Broome County Veterans Memorial arena before, as the head coach of Lowell from 2006 to 2009.

"It's what we do and it's always exciting and its what keeps drawing me back is the challenge of being a head coach and the challenge of developing young players trying to help them reach their goals which is to get out of here and get to Ottawa and as rewarding as it is, that's the biggest challenge is keeping the guys at task," he says.

The Binghamton Senators will open the 2010-2011 hockey season at home on Friday, October 8th at 7:05 pm against the Adirondack Phantoms.
