Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Starting this weekend the courts of Recreation Park will be taken over by the pros, and this year's field for the LG&T Tennis Challenger looks to be one of its best in a while.
The field features two players ranked Top 100 in the world, the highest ranked being American Bradley Klahn ranked 75th.
Meanwhile, former U.S. Open semifinalist Robby Ginepri returns to the LG&T, along with former All-American at Tennessee Rhyne Williams and Virginia standout Jarmere Jenkins.
They're all players that could one day soon be playing against some of the best in the sport.
"It's just unique to see some up and coming players, who after they leave here, go on to unseed a ranked player at one of the major events," said Laurie Bowen, the tournament director. "So I think over the years we've seen incredible play."
This tournament is part of a series of four tournaments over the next few weeks, the player with the best results earns a wildcard into the main draw of this year's U.S. Open.
