Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Maine-Endwell and Cazenovia traded punches all night at Union-Endicott's Ty Cobb Stadium, but in the end the Spartans blocked the Lakers final blow in Saturday's Class B state quarterfinal.

M-E stopped Cazenovia's two-point conversion attempt with less than a minute to play to hold on 35-34.

Kyle Gallagher helped pace the Spartans offense, and his brother Adam added a three touchdown performance in the win.

It's Maine-Endwell's state-best 36th straight win.

Next week, the Spartans play Depew next week in the state semifinals in Rochester.
