Las Vegas, NV (WBNG Binghamton)  It was supposed to be a calm, mostly uneventful media opportunity to promote UFC 178 in Las Vegas, NV. Instead, Jon "Bones" Jones and Daniel Cormier's stare down turned into a brawl on Monday afternoon.

After Cormier pushed Jones, the Union-Endicott grad went after his soon-to-be opponent. It took a whole hoard of people to break up the scuffle on the floor of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino.

No one was hurt, but it looks like Jones did get a few punches in.

Afterward, the UFC's chief legal officer Kirk Hendrick said, "the fighters actions were clearly a violation of the UFC's code of conduct."

He also added that there will be ramifications.

The Jones-Cormier fight is the main card for UFC 178 on September 27th in Las Vegas.
