Town of Maine, NY (WBNG Binghamton) College soccer players will have a new place to work on their game this summer.
A group from the Greater Binghamton sports complex announced plans to join the top amateur league in the country, the National Premier Soccer League.
"It's comprised of 40 teams from across the country. Our division is greater Binghamton FC Cleveland Detroit Erie Pennsylvania and Buffalo New York. It's a lot of college kids can be a lot of energy. There's a big try out it's a collective three-month tryout for some of these guys try to make it to the next level. I started in the league similar to this. And that's where I was discovered. I just expect a very competitive league," says Greater Binghamton FC general manager Bill Arno.
Greater Binghamton FC has 11 players under contract now.
They'll be holding tryouts through April before their season starts outside the dome in May.
