(WBNG Binghamton) Instead of a rematch with Alexander Gustafsson, it looks like Glover Teixeira will get his chance to challenge the Jon "Bones" Jones for the UFC light heavyweight belt.
Following a five round classic fight between the Union-Endicott grad and Gustafsson, UFC President Dana White hinted at a possible rematch for the light heavyweight title.
However, White told ESPN.com on Wednesday that Jones wanted to fight Teixeira for his next fight.
Jones said after re-watching Saturday's fight, he doesn't believe an immediate rematch with Gustafsson is necessary.
White said the fight could possibly happen during Super Bowl weekend Feb. 1 in Newark, NJ.
