Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) An annual rugby tournament returns to the fields of Otsiningo Park this weekend.
It's the 24th annual Roadkilll Sevens Rugby tournament.

This year 9 men's and 9 women's team compete for the tournament title.

Unlike traditional 15 player rugby, this tournament features 7 players per side.

This year's tournament brings teams from all over the northeast.

"This tournament is centrally located. It's an easy tournament to get to and it's the time of year when not a lot of things are going on. This year is what I've been working for for the past 7 or 8 years. We have an equal number of mens teams and womens teams this year," says organizer Joe Longo.

The tournament got it's name from comments by teams that had to travel along the highways coming to Binghamton and see a lot of road kill on the side of the road.

One player was overhead saying he liked going to the Roadkill tournament and the name stuck.
