Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Wildcats run in the Class B Section IV playoffs ended with a six-point loss to Chenango Valley. A year later, the Wildcats return nearly their entire backfield and are looking for an even better season.

One of the keys for Johnson City will be the play of senior quarterback Ricky Balles. His experience under center last season is something the coaching staff believes will be a big factor this year.

"It certainly helps, the more experience you have playing, usually the better you are," said coach Fred Deinhardt. "So hopefully that experience will pay off."

"We've been together for what, four years now? Working with them, they're like brothers," said Balles. "So all that time should come out to perfection."

JC opens up the season by visiting Binghamton on Friday night.
