Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton Senators got the season started off on the right foot with a come from behind 2-1 victory over division foe Wilkes Barre/Scranton.

The team was got third period goals from Jacob Silfverberg and Hugh Jessiman to secure the win.

Coach Luke Richardson praised his entire team, but especially the European players who are not normally known for their toughness.

"Silfverberg, he's got a lot of experience playing pro but not over in a smaller rink like this. He's not afraid to play in traffic. The old stereotype of European players and Sweedish players is they're not really aggressive but I'd like to hire our Sweedish players tonight, that's for sure," says Richardson.

The B-Sens will be back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Rochester to take on the Amerks.
