Town of Dickinson (WBNG Binghamton) Seton Catholic Central's Pat Gosney pitched an absolute gem Tuesday to put the Saints into this weekend's state final four.

Gosney struck out 15 batters on his way to helping Seton beat Beaver River 3-1 at Broome Community College. After having a shaky start to his last outing, the Saints point towards the schedule for the reason Gosney was so good Tuesday.

"Last time he threw he had a twelve day layoff and he walked the first two guys and they scored," said coach Jim Miller. "This time he was much sharper, only been rested since last Thursday and he did well."

"It's finally nice to get back in a routine, pitching off a normal day's rest instead of nine days like last time I mean I think that says it all right there," said Gosney.

Seton moves onto the final four Saturday at BCC to play in the semifinals at 10 a.m.
