Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Back in 1996, Lazarus Sims was in the same position the Syracuse basketball team is in now, preparing for the Final Four.

Sims and that Orange squad got all the way to the National Title game before losing to Kentucky. However, Sims experienced exactly what this year's Syracuse team is going through and has some advice for the current Orange.

"I just tell them to enjoy it. It's basketball. Everything outside, all that can't affect what goes on," said Sims. "There's only ten people on the court. None of those crowds or the media can come across the line. It's just you and the other guy across from you. It's just basketball at its purest and at its best. It's what they grew up doing in the parks, so just enjoy the moment and play basketball."

Sims also added his favorite part of the weekend was the chance to share the experience with his family. He'll be down in Atlanta this weekend to share this trip to the Final Four with his Syracuse basketball family.
