Syracuse, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Maine-Endwell Spartans are just 24 hours removed from capturing their second straight back to back title.
And for the 17 seniors on the team, winning their last high school game is a dream come true.
Maine-Endwell turned a close game into a route in a 42-12 win over Glens Falls in the Class B title game.
And several seniors made an impact in the victory.
Running back Justin Jacoby ran for 144 yards and 3 touchdowns and was named the offensive back of the game.
Fellow senior running back Luis Uceta closed out the scoring with a 47 yard touchdown run.
And senior Jake Haddock not only anchored the offensive line, but also recorded 5 and a half tackles on defense and was honored as the defensive lineman of the game.
A special ending for a team that's now won 25 straight games.
"It's always going to be on the brain. I'm never going to forget this moment. This moment is something you can't describe. You're in the Carrier Dome, it's my last high school football game, all of us together. We're going to be remembered as one of the best teams in Maine-Endwell history, if not sectional history," says senior Nick Sorrenti.
"It's very emotional. All of us seniors are never going to play with each other again. It's definitely something we're going to remember for the rest of our lives," says senior running back Luis Uceta.
The win also gave Maine-Endwell 3 state titles in 9 seasons.
The 3 titles is the most in all of section 4.
