Maine-Endwell is preparing for the New York State Final Four this weekend, and after a nail-biting win in the Spartans first state playoff game, the road gets even tougher for M-E.

Now the Spartans take on Long Island Champion Harborfields, who took care of their last opponent by 28 points. Coach Dr. Sonny Spera said the team is very well rounded from what he's seen, and that M-E is expecting a difficult test.

When it comes down to Friday's semifinal though, the Spartans believe they just need to play like it's any other game.

"I think we talked about this from the beginning as far as preparing yourself for work, and being professional about it at a young age," said Spera. "Are we ready, are we better than we were yesterday and that's kind of the approach they've had. I think they're obviously pleased with the win, but our focus is on let's get the next one."

Maine-Endwell takes on Harborfields Friday at 1:30 at Hudson Valley Community College.
