Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The B-Sens season so far is a perfect display of just how little difference there is between winning and losing. Throughout the first few months of the season Binghamton was 5-and-0 in overtime and shootout games. But in the current seven-game losing skid, Binghamton has lost three shootouts and four of the games were decided by only one goal.
The good news is the B-Sens get Syracuse Friday night. The Crunch are a team Binghamton has beaten four of the five times they've played them this season.
But while that rivalry is always a motivator, coach Luke Richardson said there's something else about Friday's game that excites the team even more.
"Right now we're just happy to play a game. I don't think it matters who it is or where it is," said Richardson. "But definitely Syracuse is always a fun team to play for us because of the proximity there's always a rivalry. That maybe is coming at a good time for us, I think it doesn't matters who is on there team or who is on our team, it's who is wearing those jerseys. We're looking forward just to playing."
The B-Sens travel to Syracuse Friday night. It's part of a pair of games this weekend, as the team hosts Albany on Saturday at the Arena.
