MANY TEENAGERS WOULD PREFER TO HANG OUT AND NOT DO MUCH OF ANYTHING IF THEY DON'T HAVE TO. BUT UNATEGO SENIOR OWEN MOSS ISN'T LIKE MOST TEENAGERS. HE HARDLY EVER HAS ANY FREE TIME BETWEEN EXCELLING IN THREE SPORTS AND CARRYING A 96 AVERAGE IN THE CLASSROOM.
"School work is extremely important to me. But I also love playing sports so to be able to do it all and do really well at it is really important to me."
NO MATTER WHAT HE DOES, OWEN WANTS TO WORK HARDER AND BE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE, BUT TAKING THE EASY WAY OUT IS NEVER AN OPTION.
"Some nights I'm up writing papers late or doing labs stuff like that. But you have to get it done because you know the next day it's due and that's just the way it goes."
OWEN'S DEDICATION TO BEING THE BEST WILL CARRY HIM TO WILLIAMS COLLEGE IN THE FALL WHERE HE'LL PLAY FOOTBALL. AND BEYOND SCHOOL, HIS SIGHTS ARE SET EVEN HIGHER.
"Maybe a lawyer, maybe going into the FBI. I've also become very interested in politics lately so something in that range.
OWEN IS A HUGE OHIO STATE BUCKEYE FAN AND SAYS HE WOULDN'T MIND LIVING IN COLUMBUS ONE DAY, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE WON'T MISS THE GUYS HE'S COMPETED WITH EVERY SEASON SINCE THEY WERE KIDS.
"I have so many friends, probably like 10 or 15 guys that do the three sports, football, basketball and baseball, and we've become so tight over the years."
HE'S A STAR ON THE COURT AND A STAR IN THE CLASSROOM, AND THIS SMALL-TOWN HERO WANTS TO SHINE EVEN BRIGHTER IN THE FUTURE. IN OTEGO, JUSTIN HOROWITZ ACTION SPORTS.
