Greene, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

She's from Greene, but she isn't green, although her name is Greene.
Natalie Greene is a 3 sport standout for the Trojans, and also a straight "A" student.
And while we can only guess her favorite color, we learn a lot more about her in this week's academic all star.

" Several umpires have asked. We have our names on the back of our jerseys and I have to explain that no, there's no connection. It's just kind of a coincidence."

Having the same last name as your town is a coincidence, but Natalie Greene's success in school has nothing to do with chance.
Taking 4 college classes, playing 3 sports and a part of several other after school clubs, she still keeps up an "A" average.

" It requires a lot of dedication and hard work. At times it seems like it's never ending, but it's worth it."

Just as time consuming can be her role as one of 4 captains on a young softball team.

" We do have young players on the team. There's only a few juniors then the rest are sophmores and even middle schoolers so that is definitely a duty of mine. "
Her name may blend into the school and town she's from, but Natalie Greene's hard work makes her stand out as this week's academic all star.
