Newark Valley, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

Everyone thinks they have a busy day.
But not many have a day like Newark Valley senior Ryan D'Arcy.

He explains what keeps him busy all day, and how he still has managed to win over 100 career wrestling matches while maintaining an average of 105 in this week's Mirabito academic all star.

It starts by getting to school early to hit the weight room, which is followed by 6 hours of the toughest classes his school offers.
And then Ryan D'Arcy's day really gets going.

" After school today I had an honor Society picture. Then right after that I'm president of student councils so we have that meeting that I come right to practice. And now I have this going on in right after this I'll go home for a little bit. I have a little bit of homework to do and then tonight at around 630 I have to be back here for my concert for jazz band. "

He's the class president, the homecoming king, national honors society treasurer, student council president, a member of 2 bands and 2 varsity sports.
And he attacks each activity likes it's the only one on his schedule.

Ryan's Father-slash-coach Eric D'Arcy says, " He's probably one of the most energetic people I've ever known is always on the go. He's not really one to watch TV, or sit around playing on the computer. "

" I don't really get nervous about any one individual event, because I always have other things coming. I really like to try and get as much as I can out of each day."

He has 108 career wins, and counting, in wrestling, but says academics always come first.
That's obvious when see his average is 105.
He's looking to study something in the medical field, for a simple reason.

" It's one of those careers that is constantly expanding, and I like the challenge that entails."

Ryan D'Arcy is one to take on any challenge, and pass with flying colors.
That's why he's this week's Mirabito Academic all star.
