The fans filed into the stadium, very excited to see their team back on the field.

Action News caught up with some of the players earlier Thursday to see how their feeling before the opening game!

It's official...the boys of summer are back!

It's a long way from spring training in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

But, they're back in their clubhouse and say they're ready to play.

"I've been looking forward to this since the last day of the last season," says B-Mets 3rd baseman Jay Caligiuri.

"I'm excited to be back, you know. Binghamton's a pretty nice place to play baseball. A lot of fans are good support," says B-Mets Right Fielder Bobby Malek.

And you can bet there'll be plenty of fans filling the bleachers, the same way they have since 1992.

"They all seem pretty pumped up to get going and that kinda pumps us up, you know. We kind of feed off them," says B-Mets Shortstop Corey Ragsdale.

But, before they grab their bats and make their way to the field.

Even one veteran B-Met still gets a case of the butterflies.

"If you don't get nervous your probably not human," says B-Mets pitcher Tim McNab.
