Altoona, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Dustin Martin and Sean Kazmar had 2 hits a piece and Cory Mazzoni went 7 innings without allowing a run as the B-Mets take the series opener at Altoona 8-2.

After an hour and 40 minute delay due to a power outage, the offenses started slowly as there was no score through 4.

In the 5th, the B-Mets broke through with 3 runs. After Jefry Marte reached on an error, and Dustin Martin doubled, Sean Kazmar doubled to left scoring both. Two batters later, Kazmar strolled home after Juan Lagares doubled to right field.

The B-Mets added 3 more in the 6th on a home run by Fransisco Pena. It was his second of the year.

Altoona would plate 2 in the bottom of the 8th inning but the B-Mets answered back in the 9th with 2 of their own.

Eric Campbell had a 2 run single and Robert Carson shut down the Curve in the 9th to get his 7th save of the season.

The B-Mets and Curve are back in action Sunday night at 6:00 pm. German Gonzalez (4-6, 4.03) starts for the B-Mets against Brandon Cumpton (8-6, 3.13).
