Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) For the first time this season, the Binghamton Mets got a walk off win, thanks to Josh Rodriguez.

They won't get a chance to make it 2 in a row Monday night.

They are rained out against New Britain.

Sunday, Rodriguez took a 2 strike, 2 out pitch to right field, allowing Pedro Zapata to score and the B-Mets walked off with a 2-1 win.

It's only the second time the B-Mets won a 1 run game.

And players hope the momentum will carry over into the rest of the season.

"It carries over but it just boosts our confidence. This game, you've got to play it everyday, day in and day out. You can't really weigh too much on one game, but just how we got this game..it will help us in the future," Rodriguez says.

"I just hope that the win today, it'll be the turning point in our season and tomorrow, I've got a little surprise for the guys in batting practice," says manager Pedro Lopez.

Lopez hopes to lighten the mood a little bit, and keep his players from trying too hard.
