Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) By polishing off a series sweep of Akron Wednesday, the Binghamton Mets are the hottest team in the Eastern League. The B-Mets have won four straight, and part of the reason has been the pitching from the bullpen.

Binghamton is now 17-and-0 when having the lead after seven innings after shutting the door once again Wednesday.

On top of that, closer Jeff Walters leads the league with 10 saves, as he's given up just one earned run in 14.2 innings this season.

All those factors make for a very happy manager Pedro Lopez.

"Our bullpen, that was one of the question marks in our ball club. We didn't know what kind of bullpen we were going to have," said Lopez. "We knew we had some good arms, but we'd never seen them pitch before so I'll tell you, they've done a phenomenal job."

After Thursday's day off, the B-Mets get a test to start off their road trip. Binghamton travels to first-place Portland for a three-game set.
